The problem here is that when i hit the power button everything turns on but the monitor and I get no post. If I turn the power supply off and on and hit the power button the system posts but I get an error message after the bios loads saying "overclocking settings could not be applied" and my ram freq reads incorrectly. The system then prompts me to either enter setup or use default settings (both of those options put me back and square one). So I hit ctrl alt del and it restarts. I get a good post, my ram freq and everything else look ok and I'm off to the os; but as soon as I shutdown or changed a bios setting it happens again. I have tested all my ram modules individually; also trying different ram modules in different slots, checked each ram channel on the mobo. I have tried default bios settings (have also flashed the bios) but still no luck. I have the ram set to 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1 volts per ocz's specs. I hope am a being clear in describing what the problem as I have been at this for a while and my brain is mush; but any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Help Meh!

Some mobo's do not play well with 4x1 ram, something to do with the timings,if you can do 2x2 should be ok,plus,,are you sure of the ram mobo compatibility.. :)

It almost sounds like its not reading the SPD settings correctly. It also sounds like its not keeping the settings in the bios, which would be a bad battery. Try replacing the button battery and see if the problem goes away. Manually set the ram, make sure nothing ram related is on auto.
