Controller for SATA optical drives

I have PCI controller (one ATA port and two SATA) with connected two HD. One of them is ATA HD and another SATA.
It worked fine several years. Now I bought new SATA DVD burner and trying to connect it to the second SATA port. When I boot the PC the controller starts detecting new hardware and finally displays a message:
" SATA 150/PCI Card BIOS 1.00.0050.3
(c) 2002-2005 Promise Technology, Inc All rights reserved.
Warning - The BIOS does not find proper hardware configuration!"
How should I fix it?

Thank you.

Is your new Sata DVD drive a Sata II drive? It looks like your SATA card is SATA I. Just use the jumper on your drive to make it use SATA I (SATA 150).
