Hi, I'm going to be building a gaming rig and I need to know what type of psu i need.

Processor - Q9550 Quad-Core (Going to be overclocked) = $423

Graphics Card - GTX 260 XFX (Maybe a GTX 280. Definitely going to be SLI.) = $347

Ram - 4GB Kit DDR2 1066 Kingston (Might buy better ram) = $89

Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P = $223

Total - $1082

OTHER COMPONENTS:

CPU Cooling - Noctua NH-U12P = $85

Case - Thermaltake Armor + Black Full Tower - 23cm Fan Side Panel (No PSU) = $285

Monitor - 24” 2ms WebCam WS Benq M2400HD Full HD = $379

I'm still tweaking this rig out, so I'm still not finished. i need help on what type of PSU i need.

lol psu choice depends on how long you plan on running it,(if you match your peak useage the psu will go out sooner, Where as a higher power threshold means underusing components thereby extending psu life) id say use the psu calculator on http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp this site and base purchasing decisions on reliable brand names like pc power and cooling and thermal take or ocz.
