Toshiba satellite a105-s4074 sound

for the past month there hasn't been any sound on my laptop however i can now hear sounds from the system as as well as media outputs. But the prob is that it is extremely low. I have tried reinstalling sound device drivers etc. I don't know what to do

i tried that three times but the results are the same. I haven't upgraded to vista or anything like that...i still have windows xp. i downloaded real tek audio driver for windows xp2000 and it did not help
