Hi. With Superfetch in Vista and 7, benchmarking a second time may increase scores and performance a bit. Is there anyway to erase what's in the Superfetch or would I have to restore an image / reinstall OS every time I benchmark something?

Thanks

Superfetch will have no affect on benchmarks. All it does is load files used often into ram. They only thing it may help affect is if you are timing how long it takes you to open something like word.

IMHO superfetch is crap.

I've never noticed any difference between stuff I rarely use and stuff I frequently use. Wasn't aware of anything called Superfetch, honestly.

I have it disabled. Its barely noticable if at all the "benefits" of it. What I found in my dealings with the all hdd activity was completely useless and frankly pissed me off. Kinda like having a ton of programs set to launch on start up. Machine would start up and have plenty of hdd activity due to the OS fetching.
