Well I'm currently running the following specs below...

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 @ 3.8ghz
RAM: 6GB Corsair Dominator 1600 8-8-8-24 1T
Video Card(s): 3x EVGA GTX 260 216 @ 650 Core / 2270 Memory
Motherboard: EVGA X58
PSU: Corsair HX1000 1000W
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200.11 32MB Cache
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred
Monitor: Samsung 26" T260 LCD

I just applied for the step-up program for 2 of my GTX 260's to two GTX 285's. I'm selling the third and buying a high end sound card. I was wondering with the two GTX 285's OC'd to at least 720 Core / 2772 Memory if I could continue to run games like Crysis @ 1920x1200 Very High 8xAA with no loss in FPS over my current setup. Also Farcry 2 @ Maxed Settings 1920x1200 8xAA and any future games maxed out @ 1920x1200 with at least 2xAA until GT300 hits. So yeah, the main question I'm asking is will I lose any performance over my current setup and will I still be able to continue playing games maxed out until GT300 cards hit with two GTX 285's OC'd a pretty good amount?

-Thanks

The fps performance you already have for your current rig (even without all that OCing) it far greater than the human eye can see.

Not really when it comes to Crysis especially. Farcry has it's choppy moments too but Crysis will drop pretty low. It's mostly smooth but in some situations the FPS will drop pretty drastically.

If you dropped from 8xAA to 4xAA, you probably wouldn't have any FPS drops.

Yup. i dont see any difference bettween 8x and 4x ... Eye cant really see it. and YES youll be able to run any game @ 2xAA and even more with 2 GTX285 and this 3.8ghz I7. Nice rig ! have fun.

the 285s are crazy overclockers. They've managed to pull around 20-30% even @ high resolution against the 280s when oced.

Its beautiful, check www.guru3d.com, I think they got around 22-25% when overclocked compared to a reference 280 GTX (which can't clock for beans after my experience).

I am not sure about the current games, but I personally give my confidence that all FUTURE games will play at 1920x1200 highest settings at faster than light wpeed for you.

So that means that all gamers in the future will have at least a 22' monitor?

No, he's saying with that setup that I'll be going with will be able to play the games coming out in the future maxed out on the 1920x1200 resolution. Not that every game/gamer will be playing on that resolution.
