Hi Guys,

I used to be a big gamer but with a tendinitis in both hands I haven't been gaming in a while. I'm more into quiet computing now. I have an Opteron 175 Liquid cooled with a reserator coupled with an X800 pro also liquid cooled.

The problem is that the video out is broken on my card. So I'm looking for a newer card (PCI-E) with a reasonable amount of performance and a low power consumption. I want something faster than the X800 pro but still affordable and with a low power consumption. I'll still be playing a game once in a while if I can. I don't follow the hardware scene as I used to.

Any recommendations in the 100$ range ?

Thanks

JF

Doesn't even require a PCI-E power connector. The HIS cooler makes these really quiet. The other coolers are smaller with little fans and tend to get reviews that they are loud. I personally installed the HIS 4670 in a build several months back and couldn't even hear it over the PSU or CPU fan.

It is a solid lowend gamer card. It ran COD4 1680x1050 Maxes w/ no AA. Smooth as butter.
