Okay 2 quick questions,

If i change my cpu from a p4 to a dual core {E5300} ~ do you think that i'm gonna have to re-install my os?

In the end im gonne be changing my cpu and gpu, if my first question was a no, then i assume this will be fine aswell, so long as i update the devices, drivers etc..

Thanks in advance

i had the same problem! heres wat i did... i deleted the motherboards chipset drivers becuase the chipset connects the cpu to the rest of the system. then i turned the computer off and swtched the cpus... but dont forget to have the drivers ready on a cd or similar. Do the same for the graphics card remove the drivers then switch...

I've had to reinstall when switching mobo's, but the one time I switched a CPU, a fresh install was not needed. This was on a 478 system, but I would assume that it wouldn't change for 775.

There are no divers for CPU, memory, hard drives, optical drives... No drivers means there is nothing to change when these parts are swapped.

Video card is a different matter when the time comes uninstall all video drivers, shutdown comp, swap cards, and install new drivers
