thinking of getting a dual core for my setup first of all would it be worth it with my my mobo and second will a 125 w windsor work with it. o also what about the am2 + and this mobo. thankss

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview. [...] Dual-SATA2

it might work, but, i personally would get a new motherboard and go phenom II

besides, trying to upgrade the memory on that is going to be really expensive

This is a 939 socket motherboard which will only run 939 socket cpus not am2+.

That board only supports AM2 optionally, which means you need some type of adapter.

You need a special card that goes in a slot on the motherboard. the card has a cpu socket and slots for ddr2 memory. The price of the card should be close to the price of a complete motherboard now unless you find something cheap on ebay. Will it support the latest dual, triple and quad cores? Look at the Asrock web site to see it it will support them and if BIOS are available for them. IMHO, this is just wasted money now. It could have been good at the first day of AM2 thou..
