OK, so I recently bought a Sapphire Radeon 4830 to replace my NVIDIA 7300 LE that came with my desktop. When I uninstalled the NVIDIA graphics card and put in the new graphics card, Vista booted, but the screen was black. I replaced the new card with the old one, but the same thing happened. I hear the sounds of Vista starting up, but the screen remains black. Any advice?

Welcome to the forums!

Go in safe mode and uninstall the graphics driver.
Check the power connections on the video card.
Tell us about your power supply.
