The i7 build

I am building a computer and I have bought the 920 i7 cpu and was woundering if any could tell me the best motherboard to go with it. Also when I buy the RAM does it have to be i7 compatiable? Or can I buy any DDR3? Thank you for your time.

I would sugest buying DDR 3 tri channle kits as the core i7 can run in ddr3 in tri channel u can go for 1333mhz ram at a sesible price

the asus P6t motherbaords are good there are a few modles of them the cheapest would do

I normally get Gigabyte mobos. They do a nice X58 model (Gigabyte EX58-UD3R) which is £160/$229 at Overclockers.co.uk

you're best to go with the triple channel, i7 RAM as it's more likely to run at the 1.65V intel recommends, whereas some of the dual channel kits will run higher.
