Whic one should I believe?

My asus p8z68v is showing 3.4ghz and in windows too. but I apllied the oc tuner and coretemo shows 4.3ghz.

Which one should I believe?

use cpuz to check

the cpu should be under load when checking as in idle it will downclock

I forgot to say CPUZ is also showing 4.3ghz.

But not even dxdiag or right on my pc shows 4.3 its shows 3.3. WTF?

ignore windows

cpuz is accurate--just keep an eye on the cpu voltage in cpuz--the auto overclock when i tried it was spiking too

much voltage to my cpu under heavy load

Try running prime95. See what windows says then. Modern processors slow down when not being pushed. Windows will take the base frequency where as CPUz takes the higher frequency

I alredy check that. and I can see in cpuz when the cpu slow down to 16ghz multiplier x16, and it boots to x43. buit is strange that in the bios its not showing right. I have never trust windows either but in bios? come on.

its because you are using the auto overclock

it will show 3.4ghz in the bios--but when you go into another part of the bios it will show the turbo multiplier at

43--so when it uses turbo you get 4.3ghz
