The WMP9 control must be downloaded and installed on WM2003 machines
(earlier versions don't support Player 9). Unfortunately MS have
pulled the control from their website, I believe there were certain
compatibility problems.
So at this time you can't, though I guess somebody might have archved
the control, it's still up to the users to download it before they can
use the embedded player, as it's not installed by the default WM9
install on PPC.

So do you know anyone with this control? For those of us embedding video,
this would be a huge help. I've been looking for many months for this.
Thanks,

Got it here (it's an exe). If I zip and mail it you (assuming you've
used your real email address) would you like to post it as an archive
on a public site and publish the address ?
So that I can point people at the control....

Hi Neil,
I could do with that control. I'm also happy to put it up on a public
site, given that this is allowed by the licensing.

It turns out it's the WMP7/8 control, but we're trying to work round
some of the deficiencies. Cheers - on its way - Neil.

Getting a 404 on the 'http://www.pocketpcdn.com/libraries/wmp.html'

Ah sure - but to clarify, you can still download the SDK, which contains
most of the information needed to use the OCX, from the other link on
that page:
Neil - did you have any successes overriding the skin embedded in the
OCX? Or was there any feedback from the guys you were going to
have a chat with?

Hmm good reminder, I'm really really buried - developing a MIS @ work,
trialling the wmp beta, helping develop 2 websites and freelancing on
a further 2. And getting sa little sunshine here n there ;-) I'll try
to fit it in this weekend, plan to have an extra day off over the bank
holiday anyway.
Cheers - Neil
