When I turn it on everthing appears to start up in the case. e.g. power leds, fans, etc.
The monitor doesnt ever come out of stand by.

everything seems to work fine except after feeling the cpu heatsink after about 10 mintues its still cool.
any suggestions?

Not getting a POST, no video, no beeps? Pull the motherboard and power supply out of the case, along with the video card, setup on an antistatic pad, (or a wooden cutting board). Pull out all the memory except the one in slot zero, make sure the power supply is connected to all the needed inputs and take a screwdriver and ground the two pins labeled Power Switch. It may start, it may not, swap out all memory chips in slot one to test all permutations, make sure to have the monitor connected to see if you get video. Test with another power supply and memory chips if you have them. If nothing works at this point, motherboard, CPU, and assembly of either should be ruled out... To tell you the truth, power LED's, fans and etc. is NOT everything!
