My old AMD pc failed, it has a Athlon 64 3500+ cpu on it, I think it is the MB that got fried. I want to find a cheap fix, I realize that socket 939 MB is so out dated, I can't find it for sale.

On ebay all the cheap ones all say "AS is" which probably means doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

You can easily replace it with a faster board and processor:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.189785
or

But of course you would have to by RAM as well.

I have this socket 939, NF4 board running for many months. Very effective.

That seems like a pretty good deal :)

I dual boot Windows XP and Windows 7 RC on there. Single core AMD 64 4000+ San Diego. It has become my designated XP machine/experimental unit. No fear.

Edit: Writer's embellishment
