Is Canon powershot g2 compatible with Windows 7

I replaced my dell pc(XP) with a HP slim line (Windows 7). I installed my Canon G-2 disk into the new HP, but it would not work. It said that I have to change users??? Can you help me out? Thanks, Mercer

I have a G-3 and Canon advised their software does not run on Win 7??? You can contact them to confirm.

Thanks. I did contact Canon. They told me that I had to purchase a Card Reader, which I have done. You take the chip(card) out of you camera, place it in the slot in front of your pc, and your photos go right to your computer. Card Readers are cheap. Good luck. Mercer
