Hey There, Just a quick question that I need to clarify.
1.) AMD HD995ZXAGHBOX PHENOM 9950/ QUAD CORE/ 2.6GHz/ 4MB L2 CACHE/ 125W
2.) Gigabyte GA-MA780G-UD3H AM2+, AMD780G, FSB5200, 4DDR2 1200OC, VGA,
3.) 4gb corsair Ram (4 x 1gb sticks)
4.) Vantec 550watt PSU 2 12v rails (24v on each rail)
5.) Galaxy Geforce 9800GT 512mb

Just wondering if all the above hardware is compatible and whether or not the power supply will be able to handle it if i don't overclock.

Thanks

Creedo

two 22 amp rails, 34 amps total.

I'm concerned with the quality of the power supply. 34 amps total to 44 amps separate is about a 30% difference. That's a really big difference. More typical is about a 10% difference. A good 550 watt PSU should be able to produce at least 40 amps at 12 volts.

^+1 That would be first change...
And for you setup, you wont even need a 550W PSU...
A high quality PSU like the Corsair CX 400W or Antec EA 380W would be suffice for your setup...
But only those high quality PSUs would be suffice and not any low quality...
