Constant beeping on boot

well. my computer has been running fine for about 6 months. now when i boot it up it beeps constantly without post. i tested all the memory stick by stick in memtest deluxe on a floppy because running the ram single channel is the only way i can boot into anything. if i put even one stick of ram in slot 3 or 4 it beeps like hell. but just one or even both in slot 1 or 2 work just fine. i've gone into the bios and made sure the voltages and timings were right with the one stick in. but it still does the same thing when i try to boot up with anything in slot 3 or 4.
