Having trouble with my first boot on this new built I just put together. I see a blue LED light in the front panel and that’s all the activity I get. No boot/shut down or initial fans spin…NADA!

COOLER MASTER RC-690
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
XIGMATEK HDT-S1283
OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB)
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 512MB
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB
Samsung DVD burner with LightScribe -OEM
COOLER MASTER RC-690
CORSAIR 650TX

I pretty sure I connected everything correctly (maybe not since it won’t boot). Had the brass spacers before I lay down the mobo. Front panel connections are correct (white negative & colors positive). Connected the 24pin and 2x4 12v to the mobo.

Any suggestion short of taking everything out and putting it all back? Any help would be appreciated.

Will

Sounds like you didnt connect the hdd led pins correctly. The colored pins on the MB that are cvonnected to the chassis. Look at your manual and read it step-by-step. If it doesn't power on then it is possible ur PSU is DOA or maybe your MB. Call the tech support.

Well took the mobo out of the case and set it on the counter. Only the CPU/Cooler, Video Card, and 1 stick of Ram. Plugged in the 24 pin and 2x4 12v connector. Front Panel is connected correctly I think, but still nothing. No boot, no light, no fan.

I don’t have any spare parts to change in and out so I can’t trouble shoot it that way. Any other suggestion? Thanks

Striped it down to barebone. Only have CPU/Cooler and have it hooked up the PSU (no ram no graphic). Still nothing. Since there is a little blue LED light for the HD in the front panel, the PSU is good and the Mobo needs to be RMA?
