Well, after owning several EVGA 9500GT, 9600GT & 2x9800GT's, I was about to buy a 280, but didn't feeling like paying all that extra money to get one, so I figured it was time to buy a 4870 and try it out. I get it tomorrow.

So, I'm over here to see what I can learn about this Radeon HD 4870.

Thank you. Did you get yours fired up yet? Sounds like a driver installation problem.

Reply to jack54

No driver problem because I can't enter BIOS. OS isn't even installed yet. I'm gonna get another PCI card to test to see if its bad or not. Hopefully I can just RMA it back to newegg :[

Yeah, try another gpu first if that is bad, it's a bad mobo more likely. RMA to newegg before 30 days is up.

The past couple months I had to RMA two Evga 680i and one 9800GT. Not fun.
