Custom building a PC - Need advice

Ok hi there, my first time on the forums been using it for some research for time to time and i have a more specific question that searching cant find so i registered and posted in hope for some help

Anyway im trying to build a system around a e8400,4gb DDR2 RAM a single hard drive and cd drive im looking for a case,PSU,motherboard,graphics card i was thinking this .

think this will work out and is there anything im missing and is everything compatable with each other? from what ive learnt it is but i think it would be best to get some more knowledge before buying components that wont work XD.

P.S. lots of forums to choose from to post in i thought this one was the most suitable

looks good. motherboard isn't the greatest but it's cheap and if it has all the features you need, then good. but i'd keep looking for a power supply. unless it's made by a good manufacturer, you'll run into all kinds of problems, such as your computer shutting off randomly, bad 3D performance, and in the worst case scenario, the thing blowing up and killing most of your computer along with it. stick to brands like corsair, pc power & cooling, OCZ, antec etc.

ok thanks i will look into getting a different PSU, but about the motherboard will it support my e8400?

Looking at the ASUS CPU Support List for the P5KPL/1600, it does list the E8400, so I think you're good to go there.

I agree with Nik_I concerning the power supply. Look to PSUs made by Antec, Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, or Seasonic.
