i need to update my bios on asus blitz formula because i want to update my cpu to a 45 yorkfield i am going to flash it with a usb drive and asus ez flash but i dont know which bios to download at asus site it says plase selct your opereting system dos /xp/vista etc i have vista 32 but which one do i chose dos or vista

It really doesn't matter as you'll get the same BIOS files. Once you have downloaded the file (I presume that you want version 1601) copy it to a USB key and use the BIOS EZ Flash utility to flash it (much safer than a Windows utility).

And I always flash late at night. The power seems more stable. But if you are really paranoid, try to borrow a UPS.
