first system hehe. only been researching for 3 hours. don't know much about computers i just wanna get my game on lol. would like pro opinion please. comes out $2500ish

everything compatible? am i good to checkout? dunno what else i need for raid 0 or if windows will fit inside lol. also i was thinking about switching to one ati 2g gpu and a msi mobo... i think it would save me a few bucks

  1. I'd get a 24inch monitor that does 1920x1200 to go with the nice computer. No sense in wasting it on a 20inch.

    For the hdd, MLC are slower than SLC so it might not be worth it to go with those. Also, if you plan to get a bit of data over the years, you'll need a storage disk as well. You might end up paying less for just a single velociraptor 300gig that would give equivalent performance.

    Upgrade the monitor, even if you have to dump the sound card to make up for it.

    Add a storage drive, for example a WD6401AALS.


    Why Home Basic and not Home Premium? Most people buy the Home Premium version.
