3 red lights of doom on eah4870 dark knight 1gb

I just finished building my computer last night and upon very first boot, my 4870 starts fine then the fan stops and 3 red LEDs flash. No picture. No beep sequence. The lights go off, the fan starts again, then stops and the red lights flash again.

Both the 6 pin connectors are plugged in. Don't bother saying anything about drivers, this is very first boot!!


(Well haven't even gotten to the BIOS settings yet)
