I want to max out my gigabyte motherboard when can i do this? It has 4 slots for ram i have only seen 2gb modules with 1066mhz.

Why not just use 800MHz RAM? Also, what are you doing that would cause 8GB to be insufficient?

That's ECC, and not 1066. It isn't the right memory for the OP.

Does the exact model matter to anyone at three grand for sixteen G??? The point is, the MOBO makers are conning you by dangling 4x4 'full board' specs, when only two companies have shown any, they're using non-standard 3D 'stacked' technology that hasn't been demonstrated to work on most boards, and the prices are so ludicrous as to just be a joke!

I might just program something huge with really poor design like a new windows, since i am a software engineer. Memory is always good to have for the future. And so on.
