Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R or GA-EP45-UD3P, Asus P5Q or P5Q Pro will work fine.

I am currently using a gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P and it does the job well with a VT enabled processor and vmware workstation 6.5

I also use a GA-EP45-UD3P, but I use VMware Server 2.0 on Windows Server 2008. I use VMware Workstation on my P5Q Deluxe.
