I have a budget of $1000 and plan on ordering the parts to build my new pc within the week, any advice would be very appreciated. The new pc will be used for gaming with such games as crysis,sc2,css ect , and the newer games coming out. I don't multi-task to much so it is just needed to run a few programs at a time. I don't download much so space is not a big deal, and neither is photo/video editing ect. Thanks in advance for your help.

with the 100$ leftover you could get yourself a nice gaming mouse/keyboard. If not, you can spend it for a 1gig version of the video card or vista home premium.

You might want to try these folks as well, you might save a bit of money and perhaps have fewer problems. For example, and Intel E8400 is $162.50 instead of $164.50.

are you sticking to intel?
because you could get yourself a nicer gaming rig with Phenoms at cheaper price.
check out the other threads that built of phenoms
