Hope someone can clarify this for me

Should the CPU fan be 'facing' towards the front of the case - i.e on the side of the heatsink nearest the front of the case

I'm assuming it 'pulls' air through the heatsink and out the back of the case??

Its a Silver Stone TJ07 case and a Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme 1366 RT

Sorry if this is obvious but I don't want to mess this up !!

make sure that the fan is blowing toward any exaust fans (traditionaly on the the back) also, the fan needs to blow through the fins for best cooling

It should be on the front side of the heatsink drawing air from the front of the case blowing through the heatsink and out the back of your case with your case fans.

I slightly disagree in your case.

The rear exhaust fans on the TJ07 are 92mm while the top fans are 120MM. Make sure those fans are exhausting air then orient the cooler to drive air out the top.

I get excellent temps with my TJ09 using this method.
