Hello,

I'm upgrading my motherboard to support a Core 2 Quad.

I want to do SLI with the nvidia GTX 260's.

I have been browsing newegg's motherboard selection for LGA775 mobos, but a lot of them have negative comments...

Can anyone recommend a proven reliable lga775 sli mobo?

^What are the components that you have currently ?
and you would have noticed from those reviews that SLI support for LGA 775 is not so good as crossfire support...And the SLI is done best on a X58(i7) mobo...

Why would you UPGRADE to a dead socket? Socket 775 is dead. You will never be able to upgrade it.
Wait for the i5's in a couple months, it'll be even cheaper than a C2Q.

Ok then what MOBO & RAM would you recommend for an i7 setup???

If I get LGA775 I only need to upgrade the MOBO, cpu, windows7 and video card.

If I get LGA 1366 I have to get mobo, cpu, windows7, video, ram, and i dont even know what else.

ram would be 100-200+ in addition, yes?

i believe the only difference will be the cpu socket and the ram, therefore you would have to focus on those two mainly.
Perhaps a Asus P6T and a Core i7 920 and ddr3 ram of your choice
