Hi, I'm just about to build my first system and was thinking about getting two gpus and running them in sli or cf. I've noticed that on some motherboards, there are 2 PCI-E 2.0 slots, but one is at 16x and the other is at 8x.

I plan on getting either 2X 4770's, 4850's, or 9800 GTX+'s.
Does that mean that the second card will be limited by the 8x speed?
Would it be worth getting a second gpu for the 8x slot, or should I get cough up some extra money and get a 16x/16x motherboard?

Hi

You have to read the fine print but to answer your question, yes. Get a board that has 2 16x slots. Example: See Ops link.
