WHch CARD IS BETTER FOR THIS PC?

I am building a new pc for first time and i really dont know much about computers, and I am debating on the Nvidia 260 GTX Core 216 (EVGA) or ATI HD4870 1GB (SAPPHIRE). Are both fine for this pc? Im kind of hinting on the ATI HD 4870 because I already spent enough as it is. I know the 260 is maybe $40 bucks more but just like the rest of the parts $40 here $30 there and the pc cost you at the end like $250-$300 bucks more. My main question is, IS THERE A BIGG DIFFERENCE? I mainly play Counter-Strike Source and probably will play the high end games because I will actually be able to for once. Will both cards be pretty damn well with the other specs I listed? I will probably add a another card to it later on when the price drops. Could those 2 cards fit in my case? PLEASE HELP! well my opinion is get the gtx 260...i have one and its amazing and i play the latest games with it.. also i think nvidia is way more reliable than ati and also in most games nvidia is more optimized

The question was will either of those cards work fine with the rig, and the answer is yes. From I read I dont know if the Nahalem is necessary, maybe go with a C2Q or a P2. What are you going to be using this computer for besides gaming?
