Win 7 2ndary HDD not recognised

Hey,

I am having trouble with my windows 7 (64b prof) recognizing my 3.5" 500gb sata which i have plugged in.

It is recognized by the windows 7 reformat cd, but no in windows, nor device manager.

I am pretty computer literate, so please list anything which may be causing the problems...

Note: When i plug an alternate sata drive it it is recognized immediately... oth have been formatted NTFS quick.

The drive which isn't recognized, works and is recognized by windows when it is in an external case.

Right click on my computer, manage, disk management, and then see if it shows there. If it does, you'll want to select the option to turn it into a logical hard disk.

Yeah it isnt showing in disk management, I meant to say that and not device manager.

I think one of the sata chords is temperamental.





Yep, Just changed chords and it is working now... Thanks anyway.

i had a problem with my second hdd and almost to break my pc... lucky me, i typed on google and i find this solution. Thanks a lot and i have to say that for me when i make it dynamic worked. Now i can smile again.
