huh? Bios jump?

dual quad core machines are either servers, or skulltrail (I believe).

or workstation boards, there are some good ones from tyan, if you look hard enough, you can find one in the ATX form factor

Get a Core i7 rig, and it will crap all over the Skulltrail.

Is this for a gaming setup? That Intel board only has 1 PCI-E x16 slot, running @ x8.

Yes it is on the Newegg LGA1366 list. What about it?

Just curious, what do you need a dual socket system for?

ASUS Z8PE-D12 has PCI-E x16 @ full x16.

A 2nd PCI-e x16 isn't as important as having a least one thats fully x16 for your gaming GPU.

You'll have to buy Xeon Processors to do it. It's going to be expensive... only worth it if your doing it for a business. If it's for home use core Core i7. You could get a 940 with 12gb RAM and a good Crossfire or SLI system for what you would be dishing out for the dual Quad Core proc boards with all the components.

Google "Nehalem EP"

this technology supports dual-socket Core i7 logic,
i.e. 2 x quad-cores each w/ hyperthreading = 16 threads

do you really need that much multi-tasking power?

If that's the case, get a Core i7 or Nehalem EP single socket, and save thousands of dollars while you're at it.
