my cd player dosn't show up in bios. i tried getting a new cd player, didnot work. tried getting new ide cables, didnot work. tried taking the battery out to reset the bios, didnot work. any help would be appreciated. it started by not working every once in a while. then i had directx problems to which i came to the concusion of just reformating and i installed windows. as soon as windows was done installing my computer never saw my cd player again.

so, i changed some settings on some ramdom things that i have no idea what they go to in the bios and BAM!, at the main setting it showed not avalible but when i went into it there was my cd player and it said new hardware detected please restart. which case i did all the while happy i solved my problem, but to my disaproving surprise my computer no longer boots up. i hate xfx.
