Hello, I'm new to Tom's Hardware forums, though, I've been coming to the site for quite a while. I've been interested in build a PC, I don't have much experience in some aspects such as brands when it comes to motherboards and other parts. Well, I'm planning to building a PC for home use. Right now, I have 2 lists, but I'm not sure if I should change something.

Here's what I have:

AMD build: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/ [...] r=13994407

Intel Build: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/ [...] r=13994467

I'm trying to keep it in the $300 range(Shipping and tax not included).
I have a monitor already, so that's no problem.
I'm looking for suggestions, and opinions on what I have right now. Also, maybe your experience with any of the parts on the list. Thanks in advance :D

PS: I'm hoping to get a build I could upgrade in the future, such as add a GPU or more RAM.

For the AMD system: Change out the case, for Antec300, combo that with EA 380 for $99. This should still be within your $300 dollar range.

You're paying $20 more, but that EA380w is 80Plus, Antec 300 best budget case right now.

I'd do the same combo with the Intel build, but you are already at your budget limit with the Intel build.

Both are pretty well thought out rigs. I might change the case/PSU combo to what flyin15 suggested or at least this Rosewill rig which uses one of their newer designed 450w PSUs

For the AMD build i'd try to squeeze in the athlon64 x2 7750 and for the Intel build try to squeeze in the E5200

Oh, sorry for my late reply. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. The prices for the parts I have have increased in price, so I'll try to go up a little over the $300 and see if I can get some better stuff. Again, thanks for posting.
