I have a 9800gt video card, 4 gigs ddr3 if that info helps.

The X3 720 overclocked will be the better choice. Most games are not core optimized yet, so the fourth core will not bring a huge difference. The 720 is easier to overclock so use that and OC it up to 3.4-3.5.

If you're like most people you will have your set up for some time. You can't add more cores. Therefore I'd go for the quad. There are some games that even benefit now.

Most games benefit from the extra L3 on 720 - this is the main reason for 720.

Well, in the future, most games are going to benefit from the 4th core on 810 (though it is slower in clock speed), but certainly not in the close future.

Well if you want to go for quad, get atleast the 920 and not 810...else stay with the 720

So if quad, 920 else 720...

For gaming, consider the CPU with higher clock speed, whether overclocking or running stock. 3 Cores is enough for gaming, but what heck, an extra core can't hurt anything at all.

That 720 is really gonna be a killa OC'er!

and u shouldn't get ddr3=too expensive, you can get it if you have the budget, but i wouldn't recommend it
