(BTW, it puts the 3870 at the same level as the 4670)

4670. It uses less power, generates less heat, and has a better and more efficient FSAA and AF implementation. There are a few situations where the larger bandwidth of the 3850 allows it to pull ahead, but by the by the 4670 is the better card. The 3850 seems to do better in crossfire than the 4670 thanks to its better bandwidth (at least until you turn on AA or AF), but if you're thinking of crossfiring two of those cards you're better off spending that much money on a single 4850 1GB or a 4870 512 that randomly comes on sale.
