I have not done extensive research on the specific vendor gpu cards, though I do know that the 4870 x2 is the fastest out there now (though it's really two cards in one).

I am missing a case and a psu. Please critique the system! I would like to keep it under $2000 and I want to have Core i7. Everything else is negotiable :P

Future-proofing the system with an SLI/CrossFire ready motherboard would be nice, as would a large case with enough room for at least 4 HDDs and a floppy.

for case get antec 1200

For psu it really depends, 750w would be plenty. If you want to future proof so you can add another card get something along 1200wats then.

Try to find some reviews, the NH-U12P might be a better choice. I think it gives comparable cooling, but much less noise.
