Rampage Extreme III - Would raid card downclock my SLI GPU's?

Hey Everyone,

I work in Adobe Premiere and After Effects so I need a fast scratch disk to work on.

I am looking to eventually put two cards in SLI in the rampage and also have a SAS card for my two Fujistu's in raid 5.

My build:

My question is would the including of the raid card downclock one of my GPU's and make it 16X/8X/8X?

If that's the case should I go with the ASUS P6T6 board with the n200f chip?

No the graphics card communicate directly with the x58 chipset which has 32 lanes open for graphics.

The SAS card would communicate with the ICH10R south bridge which has up to 2GB/s bandwidth.
