Hey guys. Trying to get a new gaming rig together. I would like to know if this is a solid build. I plan to game on 1680x1050 resolution.
Case: COOLER MASTER COSMOS 1000 Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W Motherboard: EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 Processor: Intel Core i7 920 Memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 55nm Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache Optical Drive: SAMSUNG Black 22X
In the future. I plan on doing a few things.
- Overclock the processor around 3.8GHZ - Get a Geforce GT300 when they are released using EVGA's stepup program. - Get another pair of 3GB Dominator Ram.
Opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
I'm upgrading from a AMD64 3200+ / Radeon X800 PRO AGP / 1GB DDR400 RAM
*Edit: I might just go with the 3x2GB Corsair Dominator RAM.

Don't forget a 64-bit OS, or you'll only be able to use about 3GB of the 6GB. Don't laugh, I've seen quite a few people do it. I thought the 32-bit RAM limit was pretty common knowledge by now, but I always mention it just in case.
