Just bought the hd 350 AGP card. Got the card in and then installed the cd driver disk in. Started to copy over files then I had a pop up box saying that the card did not pass the Microsoft Logo Test and that my system could go down now or in the future. Which it did. Monitor went black and no response. Shut down and left the system alone until the next day. Started up the system and got to the windows log in screen touched the mouse and went black on monitor.

Took the system in to have it looked at by computer specialist, doing the same thing to them when looking at. Left with and cs said that he had fixed the problem. Took the computer home and booted up but slower than molasses and then after awhile it did the same thing - monitor went black and no response.

System specs:

Power supply: Cool master 600w
CPU: 3.2+ 64 Athlon
Memory: 3 gig 400Mhz DDR
HD: 4 - 80 gig (320total gig)- (mirror - striped sets)

I had an X1650pro in before I upgraded to this card and worked fine, I was upgrading because of wanting to play Far Cry 2 as it seemed a little slow and choppy on Steam.

I'm thinking about RMA'ing this card back and looking to downgrade possibly to the 3650 512 MB DDR2/GDDR3 or down to the HD 2600XT AGP/ HD 2600 PRO AGP.

Can anyone give me some advise on the 3850 and what to do to make work or just RMA it back and try these other cards. Anyone know of issues with the 3650 or 2600 cards?

Thanks.

Accept the popup box saying that the card did not pass the Microsoft Logo Test.

Thanks evongugg. I have RMA'd the card back to newegg and downgraded to the hd 3650 ddr2. Hopefully I won't have problems with this one. I have also purchased a new Thermaltake PSU -750W, so wattage/power should not be a problem as requires 550w.

Anyone out there having issues with hd 3650 ddr2 agp card? Just curious.
