Could be a beast, but will likely be an overclocked 4870 x2. As I said before, no reason to upgrade until around Q2 09 when actual NEW cards come out.

I doubt that the refresh will be 40nm, that is supposed to come Q2-Q4 2009. These will probably be 55nm like nVidia's current new GPUs.

Knowing how incremental and useless the recent GPU refreshes have been I would not be surprised.

If true I don't like that they're using HD5870 without a DX change.

Anywhoo for now could be a typo or a misinterpreted code, but would be impressive if they get they're 40nm part to market before the end of the month well ahead of the Q2 predicted time-frame. But overall not as impressive as what I would expect to earn the HD5K nametag.

Errr.... not 'like nVidia's current new GPUs', more like 'just like AMD's same OLD GPUs'. And even less of a reason for a renaming.
