Will WD Align wipe out existing data?

Hello,

Apologies if this has already been asked. I bought a WD EARS drive a while back and used the WD Align utility to ensure that it would work with Win XP. This drive is purely for storage purposes, the OS is on a different drive.

Now I want to upgrade to Win7. Do I need to re-align it? If so, will it wipe out all my stuff? Thank you!!
