Windows was doing an update...the kind that requires a re-boot and my daughter pressed the power button.
Computer gave errors upon start-up and wouldn't go into safemode. I tried to restore off the partition and it would not take. I bought an enclosure and my hard drive was totally empty. Bought a new hard drive and upon boot, the computer will not go past the Toshiba start up screen and won't go into bios. Any suggestions on what I could try next? Thanks )

Was this a BIOS update?

If so, you may be in trouble. You can try to reset the BIOS to factory default, but if it was only partially programmed when power was cut, you'd have to replace the BIOS chip, which may or may not require replacing the whole motherboard. Check with your friendly local PC repair shop.
