What driver did you use before? Also note, some people have reported L4D not likeing having "multicore processing" enabled with later NVIDIA drivers (works for me though...), so that could be the issue too...
Same problem here - intermittent crashing - whether playing in SLI or on single card since updating to new driver. Run Vista64 - haven't had a nvlddmkm crash for @ 6 months until now. GTX 280 x2
Hey Guys, have tried 5 of the 180.xx series drivers and haven't liked any of em. I keep going back to 177.79. No glitching, no over heating, all functions, and smoother game play. Last night benched Crysis 48FPS avg. all settings on high + 8xAA, with a 1x 260 core 216 pushed by an AMD 940 PII.

Running Intel e8600, P45 Asus p5q green, 4 gigs 8500 ram, Vista 32 bit, Evga 260 core 216 superclocked and Creative extreme gamer X-fi (Pci). I'm running nvidia 180.48. Seems ok for me, But would like my Old Titan Quest immortal Throne game to stop disapearing while I'm playing!? I'm running two systems with same configuration except one is a gigabyte p45 ds3L motherboard and Creative Titanium (pci express) sound. I realize that there is video and sound problems with my systems, But have realized that there is potential with Vista. ( I waited for service pack 1 before going to Vista). I've tweaked and trimmed my system for best performance. Maybe it's early physics driver issues and previous unresolved ones also. I build many systems a year, I wish and hope these stability problems are on the top of the Hardware developers lists. I won't upgrade to 181.22's until I hear more positive thoughts on it.
P.S. Also when I started these builds at the end of 2008, I have been through a couple motherboards and everything else also. (Benefit of the doubt) I want the best and most reliable systems for me and my friends. Microsoft, Nvidia, and Creative Labs please show me you guys still care! Thanks for reading this long rant.
