I suppose you already have a Firewire (IEEE 1394) card installed?

To get video from this camcorder you will need to connect it to the PC with a Firewire cable and either use the software that came with the camcorder or Windows Movie Maker.

What happens when you plug in the camcorder to the Firewire port and turn it on? A window should pop up that offers to capture video with Windows Movie Maker.
