Best PSU for Extreme system...

Hello Everyone,

I will soon be receiving my Lian-Li PC-P80 and want to get a better power supply than my current Corsair 850tx. I also need it to be extremely neat and nice. I was considering:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817814012

Anyone think this will be good enough? I will be running my current system below, plus an additional GTX295 in quad sli and another loop for my WC.

---- I was told that the above PSU is terrible and not reliable; I love the looks of it, however want something that is reliable and powerful enough to handle my system. I would like 1000+watts, preferably less than $330 (or less than $440 if sleeved).

My system:

Antec 902
Asus P6T Deluxe w/ OC Palm| BlackIce GTX 480 Rad
Intel i7 940 | Swiftech Apogee GTZ
Asus GTX 295 | Koolance VID-NX295
Velociraptor 300GB | Swiftech MCP655 Pump
G.SKILL PI Black 6GB | Microres V2

The Antec will be replaced with a Lian-Li PC-PC80 and an additional WC loop will be added along with an additional GTX295.

Thanks!

It's not terrible, but you can certainly get better.

    +1 for Corsair HX1000
  3. 800 watt or higher. I would get the Ultra 100 watt modular PSU... it's AWESOME!!!!!!
  4. OK, I think I figured out your link. Is this it:

If so, I'd definitely take the Corsair over it.
  5. +2 for the Corsair HX1000

Here's a link to a technical review of the unit over at JonnyGuru.com:

  6. Yep, Corsair PSUs are great. @mamw93 I think you mean 1000W not 100W.
  7. I would also suggest the Corsair. If it was just one 295 I would suggest the Seasonic M12D 850 or the Antec Signature 850
  8. i've seen him post that in another thread, I hope he means 1000w.
  9. Well, your 850W PSU really should be just fine that your system with 2 295s, although I guess it may be pushing it a little. For a more powerful PSU you could go with

    FSP Group Everest Pro 1200 1200W $309.99

    CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX 1000W $259.99

    SILVERSTONE DA1000 1000W $269.99

Is this referring to the 850TX?? Cause if so, i wanna kno who said that :heink:
I dont even really get y u need to upgrade...In all reality it should do fine

If not get this and call it a day
Its a great PSU, good efficiency and an amazing price for the output (Jonnyguru is now on BFG and he knows his PSUs)
  11. I'd feel a little questionable running 2 295's and watercooling and an i7 overclocked on an 850. It would work, especially on one as good as the Corsair 850, but it will be near its limit much of the time.
