Scaling issues on the compaq 2800, peformance?

I am thinking about purchasing the Compaq 2800 with the Radeon mob 7500 card.

The unit I am looking at has a native resolution of 1400x1050. I was wondering how it peforms in fx. 1280x1024 which is what ill run most games in I think. I can understand that it can infact scale it to fill the entie 15" screen however I am worried about quality of that.

I read a head to head review of the Compaq 2800 and the Dell 8200 Inspiron and they commented on the scaling of resolutions but the were no negative comments in the review about the visula quality

You are right and I read that review. They mentioned something about radiometric scaling and did also test the 3D gaming in various resolutions and as you say, they didnt mention anything bad about it. Still i wouldnt mind a more direct review our personal experience with it.
