i have a gigabyte ex58-ud3r and i also have this memory:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-164-CS&tool=3

i can run the system fine with the memory in slots 1,2 & 3, meaning it is only running in dual channel mode. when i put the memory in slots 1,3 & 4 to run in triple channel mode i am greeted with just a continuous rebooting sequence, with the system not even getting to the bios.
does anybody know what could be wrong, or if there is incompatibility with this board and memory?
any help will be gratefully appreciated.

I have the excat same board and memory, so there shouldn't be a problem. It could be a number of things, it could be that the board itself is faulty - or that the bios could be causing issues. My advice would be to get a new version of the BIOs off of Gigabyte and replace the original BIOs with it. If that doesn't solve the issue, get a replacement.
