Hi all,
Say that i grab one packet of Triple channel DDR3 with 3 sticks now (3 x 2GB sticks)
Later down the track, if I want an additional 3 more sticks (to use up all 6 ram slots).. is it as simple as getting another Triple Channel DDR3 pack with 3 sticks (3 x 2GB sticks).
Will they all run in triple channel? or would I have a problem with that?
In other words..
If I buy 2 packets of (3x 2GB sticks) vs 1 packet (6x 2GB sticks).. is that the same?
Will I run into compatibility issues?
I've noticed that buying 2 packets of 3 sticks.. is infact cheaper than one packet of 6 sticks at some stores..
Thus, my reason for asking.. whether if 2 sets would still run ok in Triple channel versus a single packet of 6 sticks.
Thankyou.
